中华人民共和国残疾人保障法 [Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Disabled Persons] I

The poster is the illustration of the Law of the PRC on the Protection of Disabled Persons, which includes nine sections, namely, general principles, recovery, education, labour employment, cultural life, welfare, environment, legal liability, and supplementary provisions. This specific poster includes the first three sections (general principles, recovery, and education), and their 26 items. Next to each item, there are photographs of the everyday lives of different people in different contexts. This law was adopted at the 17th Session of the Standing Committee of the 7th National People's Congress on December 28, 1990.

Mark Fenton studied engineering at the Regent Street Polytechnic during the 1940s. These items were donated to the archive on the occasion of an oral history interview with Mark Fenton. They comprise two copy photographs of student activities and a letter from him to the Daily Mail regarding his disability.
