School of Photography Annual Exhibition photographs

Photographs of the exhibition opening and diploma presentation ceremony. The photographs have a compliments slip from the Institute of Incorporated Photographers stating that the editor of Record is using one picture in the August issue.

The photographs are all annotated on the reverse. Includes Dr Richardson and Margaret Harker, as well as (name and unnamed) students receiving their diplomas.

Maroon album containing colour photographs. Reads 'Photo Album' on cover . Spiral bound. 29 photographs.

Contains printed introduction which reads:
'Centenary of the opening of the polytechnic women's instituted 1888/1988'
The event took place on Saturday 30th July, 1988
A small committee was formed comprising of:

Outside caterers were employed
Old photographs were shown and displayed

Large birthday cake was cut by oldest members, Mabel Winter, 92

Poly Chaplain Revd Alan Walker gave prayer of thanksgiving
John Anderson, charirman of the men's council added his thanks on behalf of the men's institute
Entertainment by 'Grace Notes' - group of four singers, plus female accompanist
