Frank Short Correspondence

Correspondence to and from Mr Frank SHORT, employee of the Polytechnic Touring Association. The correspondence includes details of his appointment with the PTA in 1895; financial arrangements made on Irish tours in 1896; arrangements with LUNN in 1899. The file also contains a copy letter signed by Robert MITCHELL to Dr LUNN re working together arrangements, 1899.

Correspondence organising an excursion to Ireland

Letter from Frank Short, on Irish Tourist Development Publishing Co Ltd headed paper, to [Robert] Mitchell regarding the arrangements for a proposed excursion to Dublin, including details of meetings he has organised, and prospectuses he has distributed.

Includes a letter of introduction from Mr Pile of Pile, Powell & Money [fishmongers] addressed to Mr William Whittam of the London & North Western Railway Co, with the latter's business card attached, which is mentioned in Frank Short's letter. The letter introduces Mr Frank Short of the London Polytechnic Institution and requests assistance in organising a tour. The letter also mentions Pile, Powell & Mooney's experience of using the Association for a tour of Switzerland and Italy the previous year.
